00Methodology
Every number on your report
traces back to a named source.
FieldStack does not invent numbers. Every benchmark on the diagnostic is anchored to a published industry study or an operator-survey dataset. Every score on the report cites the user input or the imputed median that drove it. Below, every benchmark we use, with the source we drew it from.

# 02Rules we hold ourselves to
- 01Every benchmark above has a named source. “Industry composite” is flagged for review, not used as a final answer.
- 02When you skip a field, we impute the trade median and tag the resulting number as imputed in the report. Imputed numbers are visually distinct from user-stated ones so you always know which is which.
- 03Leak dollar values are capped against your reported monthly revenue. No single finding can claim more than a sane share of the business.
- 04The AI narrative layer can't contradict the deterministic math layer. If the AI invents a number, our verifier rejects the report before you ever see it.
- 05Sections you skip are listed transparently at the end. We won't write findings about data we don't have.
Run the diagnostic.
Every number on your report will trace back to this page. If a four-truck plumbing shop sees a $14K/mo dormant-database leak, you'll see the repeat-rate input, the trade median, and the cap math that produced it.
